At the start of each appointment your Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor will help you to create the objectives for the appointment, and prioritize the tasks necessary to accomplish your overall goal. Your understanding of the process is critical to the success of the consultation.
The following objectives are often identified during appointments with our consultants and are provided here for your reference:
1) Review the set-up of your QuickBooks file, the Chart of Accounts, Items, and Preferences
2) Modify the programming and set-up to increase the flow of information, accounting control, management reports, etc.
3) Provide training on entering your day-to-day transactions per your request
4) Review internal reports and create or change procedures to improve reporting in a specific area
5) Investigate new software that works in conjunction with QuickBooks
6) Add new features, such as payroll or tracking a 401(k)

You may want to have the following items available at your appointment:
1) Bank statements (checking, savings, line of credit, etc.) and register especially if the statements are not reconciled
2) Loan and credit card statements especially if the statements are not reconciled.
3) Paper or manual forms that you use in your business
4) Spreadsheets that track sales-related information, or other bookkeeping information
5) Tax forms (payroll, business license, sales tax, etc.) if you have questions about them
6) If your appointment is at our hands-on training center in Seattle, bring a back-up of your QuickBooks data so that changes made to your QuickBooks can be brought back to your office and installed on your computer or network.
